The 'ioTouch2 Lite' is a limited version of the 'ioTouch2' application, designed for iPhone and iPod Touch platforms. This software facilitates the monitoring and manipulation of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), enabling users to operate machinery with minimal technical expertise.

Unlike the 'ioTouch2 Pro,' the Lite edition imposes a daily communication restriction of 30 minutes with actual PLC devices. Users can extend functionality through add-on modules tailored to specific PLC providers. Once acquired, these modules permit connection to certain PLCs from various manufacturers.

This application simplifies operational procedures by allowing users to perform startup checks independently. Typically, two personnel are required—one for powering devices on and another for monitoring. With ioTouch2, a single operator can both monitor device status and control its operation directly via an iPhone or iPod Touch.

Given its intuitive interface, users need not possess extensive PLC knowledge. An assembler or operator can easily adjust machine configurations through straightforward controls provided within the app.

Device statuses are visually represented as indicator lamps, with control buttons facilitating direct interaction—making the system highly user-friendly.

Connectivity to PLC devices is achieved via Wi-Fi, allowing for portability and ease of setup. If your PLC supports Ethernet communication, it can be connected directly through Wi-Fi networks. Alternatively, ioTouch2 supports serial-to-Ethernet converters, eliminating the need for separate 'PLC Share' configurations.
